International Congress on the Mediterranean Diet
On March 24th and 25th, the FDM held in Barcelona the VIII International Conference on the Mediterranean Diet, within the framework of Alimentaria 2010.
Conferences and Round Tables
Relevant academic, scientific and institutional figures from different countries put together the latest advances and discoveries on the benefits of the combination of a balanced diet and the practice of moderate physical activity.
Papers
The papers of the 8 sessions of the Conference revised and updated aspects related to nutrition, food and culture of significant products of the Mediterranean Diet such as cereals, bread, olive oil, nuts, wine, dairy, fish and fruits and vegetables.
President of Honour
The President of the VIIIth Barcelona International Congress on the Mediterranean Diet is Igor de Garine, an eminent Director of Research at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in Paris and President of the International Commission on Anthropology of Food (ICAF).
